Starting in October typically, you can find farmers markets throughout South Florida on the weekends. Saturdays in some cities, Sundays in others, check the local schedules to find out which one is best for you. Most include tents from local vendors that may be selling fruits and vegetables, breads, spreads and more. Don’t forget to ask for samples! Some markets feature face painting, bounce houses, and arts and crafts for the kids. Other vendors sell guacamole, bbq, popcorn and other foods. The events typically start early in the morning and are winding down around lunch time. When the weather’s nice, they’re a great way to get outside and take a nice leisurely walk. We recommend the West Palm Beach and Parkland farmers markets.
