everyone! Here’s some ideas for a fun-filled Spring Break
or Summer vacation.
Plan some fun activities in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Cleary the kids will love Dollywood, a modern theme park that includes roller coasters, kiddie rides and even zip lines. When creating Smoky Mountain itineraries, the cities of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have a lot to offer- Great shopping, fun food, and plenty of activities. Be daring and sign up for jeep 4x4ing or zip lining. Play some mini golf or go carting. Attend a dinner show like the Dixieland Stampede or the Hatfield McCoy Dinner Show. Or, go for a beautiful drive and/or hike through the mountains to one of the many scenic trails.
Check out the many options for lodging There are many hotels and apartments for rent through VRBO and AirBNB. Also, check out some of the many time share resorts in the area. Even if you aren't an owner, there may be rooms available to rent on a weekly basis.
Fun eating in the Smokies. There's a lot of fun restaurants in the Smoky Mountain area. There are pancake houses on what seems like every corner, but no stop is complete without a visit to Crockett's Breakfast Camp for their massive pancakes and skillet breakfasts. Some of the shows have dinner packages and there are many places to eat in downtown Gatlinburg and The Island in Pigeon Forge.
Excursions to nearby regions. Take a day trip to Knoxville or spend a few days in Asheville. Asheville North Carolina has remained a beautiful artsy mountain town that has fantastic restaurants, great music, local shops and adventure sports like zip lining and hiking. Also, visit the majestic Biltmore Estate and its grounds to experience what royalty enjoys!
